Hey thank you! The first time I saw a vendor selling bone hooks I was amazed but I always wanted to try putting an artist "spin" of my own on them, glad you like them!

Yes they are! The hei matau is a type of pendant carved from many types of material but the most common is cattle bone(this one is bone) they can also be carved from jade, fossil ivory, or mother of pearl. This type of hook is most commonly found in the Hawaiian island area, but also have roots in Maori (New Zealand) and Inuit (Northern American) culture.
